Ibn Taymiyyah, the Takfiri Kharijites and the Issue of Rebellion
A passage from Minhaaj us-Sunnah an-Nabawiyyah in which Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah discusses the issue of rebellion (khurooj) against the rulers in general and some of the rebellions made by the early Salaf more specifically. Contemporary takfiri groups have sought to use the erroneous rebellions of the early Salaf as a justification for their Leninist methodology that was brought to them by Sayyid Qutb, disguised in Islamic garb.
